Welcome to
the official Sir Gilbert Claughton Website, which was set
up
as a bit of fun to
remember a school which
after 86 years sadly no
longer exists, well not as we knew it anyway. It was decided by someone to close Sir Gilbert Claughton
Grammar School and turn it into a youth and community centre, IT Centre and Urban Environment type place.
From what we can gather, the school is now split into three separate units. The Hall, main building and the science block all now serving separate functions within Dudley Council. Many people have asked if it is possible to see some internal pictures and gain an insight into the function of the site today, so if anyone can help us out with this, it would be appreciated.
